Dr. Berry's longterm research program focuses on biological nitrogen fixation and ecosystem nitrogen cycling patterns. Her interest in road ecology is twofold: to examine the impacts of vehicle emissions on roadside vegetation including shifts to invasive species, and on the microbial communities associated with these plant communities, that may in turn be determinants of community composition.
